The practice now known as Advanced Urology, PC was founded in 1963 by Dr. Louis J. Rosenfeld at our current Greenwich Village location. It assumed the name Urological Associates, PC when Dr. Bernard Fruchtman became a partner some years later.   In 1985, upon Dr. Rosenfeld’s retirement, Dr. Jon Marks left academic practice at Beth Israel Medical Center to join Dr. Fruchtman.

The practice expanded further in 1990 when we were joined by Dr. Steven Berman, previously in private practice in Manhattan and the Bronx. In 1996, after 6 years of academic practice at Albert Einstein Medical School/Montefiore Medical Center, Dr. Mark Stein joined the group, seeing patients at both the Bronx and Manhattan locations.  With the addition of Dr. Danielle Dolin, our four doctor practice was renamed Advanced Urology, PC, with offices in both Manhattan and the Bronx.

All physicians at Advanced Urology are board certified by the American Board of Urology, and are active members of the American Urological Association. Drs. Marks has an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Drs. Berman, Stein and Dolin have academic appointments at the New York Medical College. Our hospital affiliations include The Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center and the New York Westchester Square Medical Center. Languages spoken in the office include English, Spanish and Russian.
